Giuseppe Rossi is reportedly in talks to sign for MLS club Real Salt Lake and can begin training with them tomorrow.

The former Italy international turns 33 on Saturday and was born and raised in New Jersey, but spent his whole playing career in Europe.

Pepito has played for Parma, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Villarreal, Fiorentina, Levante, Celta Vigo and Genoa.

His last official contract with Genoa expired in July 2018 and he has since been trying to regain full fitness after a series of devastating knee injuries.

According to The Athletic, Rossi is now in advanced negotiations to join Real Salt Lake and could be in their pre-season training camp from tomorrow.

Rossi had 29 senior caps for Italy, scoring seven goals.
