Giuseppe Rossi says he’s ‘very, very sorry’ to leave Fiorentina but ‘has a huge desire to help Levante.’
The striker joined the Spanish side on loan last Friday after struggling to break into the Viola team under Paulo Sousa this season.
The Italy international underlined his sadness at departing Florence, but also his excitement at the taking on the challenge of keeping Levante in La Liga.
“I can’t wait to play, that’s what I came here for,” Rossi told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I can’t wait to play, that’s what I came here for,” Rossi told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I’m ready, my knee isn’t worrying me and I have a huge desire to help out, to take Levante out of this ugly situation.
“I’m convinced that we’ll do it and stay up.
“Why Levante? They were the first team to come after me. I know the city and the league well and I like it a lot.
“I was very sorry to leave Fiorentina, very very sorry. For me Fiorentina means so much, I bought a house in Florence, was very happy and the fans always supported me.
“We’ll see what my future with La Viola holds. The objective is to do well with Levante, keep them up and return to Florence.”
