“We started very well, then a naïve error allowed Palermo to score,” Rossi told Sky Sport Italia.
“There was a reaction and we created several chances, but were unlucky in our finishing. We gave our all today.
“I see the lads training and they have belief, they just need a result. I haven’t heard from the club, so you’d have to ask them what the future holds. I am a man of football, I know how this works.
“We have the quality in this squad to stay in Serie A, but we must certainly do better.”
