“There is a globalisation of football now,” the 1982 World Cup winner told TMW. “Italy was once considered as Heaven for footballers and it was the dream of almost everyone to play here.
“Now there are countries where players can earn more money. Individuals thus prefer to play in England, in Spain and even in Russia. We have to accept that reality.”
The Brazilian will cost Paris SG a transfer fee in excess of €40m, while he’ll be handed a five-year contract worth between €7m and €10m a campaign.
“Thiago Silva will be the principal winner in this deal,” Rossi continued. “He’ll go and earn a lot of money with PSG.
“He will be a massive loss for Milan. We are talking about one of the best defenders in the world and it will be difficult to replace him.”
