Palermo boss Delio Rossi claims he was shouting at his own players and not officials when sent off. “I don't know what my future holds.”

The Sicilians beat Scudetto-chasing Napoli 2-1 just days after defeating Roma and holding Milan to a 2-2 Coppa Italia draw, but the Coach was sent off for dissent.

“We practice the game in a certain way and when the players don't follow that plan, I get angry. I was sent off for that, not for insulting the referee.

“It seems wrong to me, as people should know the person before making snap judgments. I am not the kind to cause problems.”

The victory still leaves question marks over Rossi's future, as he was fired and re-hired in 35 days, but his contract still expires in June.

“There are always regrets in a season, but it's not over yet and we'll see where we are at the end.

“I don't know what my future holds. I was sacked with my contract about to expire, then was recalled, so I didn't have time to investigate other alternatives.

“I have built a strong rapport with the fans here and all things said and done we are in line with our initial objectives. It's a very young side and that means we need patience.”
