“I’m staying in Florence, it’s a beautiful city, with great fans, and I want to return as soon as possible to win something important.”
Montella’s men came close to winning the Europa League this season, reaching the semi-final, can they do even better next season?
“It’s not the Champions League, but it’s definitely an important stage which we must take advantage of.
“Hopefully next year we can bring it back to Florence.”
Finally, the striker commented on his hopes of returning the Italy setup under Antonio Conte.
“I will work with perseverance and sacrifice to be able to pull that shirt on again,” Rossi said.
“I have a special relationship with that shirt.”
