Delio Rossi is trying to keep Palermo focused on their last games, including the Coppa Italia Final. “I'm the Coach until June 30.”

The tactician's contract expires and, having already been fired and re-hired this season, he looks set to walk away. President Maurizio Zamparini has not helped by publicly stating Rossi wants excessive wages.

“I am not thinking about this now,” said Rossi. “I am used to focusing on my team from morning till night, so anything else is water off a duck's back.

“I'm officially the Coach of Palermo until June 30 and all my energy is focused on our games against Chievo and Inter. I haven't spoken to the President since the morning of our match in Genoa.”

The Sicilians are already certain of Europa League football simply by being the Coppa Italia Finalists, as Inter have qualified for the Champions League.

They have never won this trophy, only reaching the Final twice in the 1970s, but before then they take on Chievo in Serie A.

“For many of these lads it will be the first cup Final of their careers. I hope it's not their last. Everyone is different, so it's up to me to understand if I need to fire them up or calm them down.

“We have to remember to put in a good performance against Chievo, as I don't see how we can play badly today and suddenly rediscover our form next Sunday night.”
