Former Fiorentina and Genoa forward Giuseppe Rossi was unimpressed with Turkish chef Nusret Gokce, better known as Salt Bae, for his antics at the World Cup final.

The 39-year-old butcher and chef, who became a meme in January 2017 for his moderately amusing way of sprinkling salt on steaks, sparked controversy after touching and kiss the World Cup following Argentina’s victory over France at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar.

Gokce was seen approaching a number of Albiceleste stars including Lionel Messi, taking multiple photos and trying to get the attention of several players following their World Cup victory.

Many have complained about Gokce’s antics on the pitch, questioning how he could gain such access and pointing to the FIFA rule that stipulates who can and cannot hold the much-coveted World Cup trophy.

Rossi, who was most recently contracted to SPAL, shared his opinion on the subject, expressing his frustration with the Turkish chef.

“Salt Bae can kiss my ass. Wanting all that attention and touching the cup. Who da fuq are you bro? Your 2 minutes of fame are up. Next.”
