RB Salzburg Coach Marco Rose believes “Napoli have what it takes to win the Europa League and are the best team remaining.”

The Partenopei lost 3-1 on the night, but went through to the quarter-finals thanks to a 3-0 first leg result and Arkadiusz Milik’s early away goal.

“Unfortunately, we were eliminated and you can’t give Napoli half a chance, or they will punish you. We still take positives from the experience and were superior tonight,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“We are satisfied to have won, but also a little disappointed that it wasn’t enough. I am proud of my lads and their performance, as it was a spectacular two-legged tie with Napoli. I also thank the fans, who stayed behind to applaud us after the final whistle.

“Napoli are among the favourites to win the Europa League and really impressed me, as they scored three goals at home and got one here too. They have a lot of quality and in my view are the favourites.

“I hope Napoli win the Europa League, as I think they’re the best team remaining.”

The Italians are in the quarter-finals with Chelsea, Arsenal, Villarreal, Valencia, Benfica, Eintracht Frankfurt and Slavia Prague.
