Juve have been recalling players to base after the Italian government gave its sports clubs to resume individual training sessions.

Players abroad will have to observe two weeks of self-isolation before returning to Vinovo, whereas those already in Italy will be able to restart on Tuesday or Wednesday.

However, Ronaldo may have to wait a bit longer as Portuguese broadcaster TVI claims his private jet to take him back to Turin from Madeira is still in Madrid.

That is because of flight restrictions imposed by the Spanish government as a result of coronavirus.

It is understood the plane has been denied permission to take off three times, although Il Messaggero assures the No 7 is ‘hours away’ from touching down on the peninsula.

As per the newspaper, the aircraft landed in Funchal – capital of Madeira, where the 35-year-old has been staying – at 18:30 CET this evening.
