Lewandowski is the biggest competition, largely because his Bayern Munich had a clean sweep of the quintuple.

The Poland international was also only the second ever player to win the Treble of Champions League, domestic League and Cup while being top scorer in all three competitions.

Messi is included in the top three, despite Barcelona missing out on the title, as he was top scorer in La Liga with 25 goals.

Although the Ballon d’Or will not be assigned this year due to the pandemic and the transformation of the fixture list, FIFA’s version is going ahead.

Voting is equally weighted between fans, journalists, national team coaches and captains.
