The 31-year-old stressed that he ‘realised Totti was still a great' when Real Madrid faced Roma in the Champions League last season, and also spoke about the partnership of Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain, along with his Portugal teammate Joao Mario's experiences at Inter.

"He has been a great and continues to be so," Ronaldo told Gazzetta dello Sport. "I realised it last season when I faced him as an opponent. I think he can even go on for another two or three years.

“It is important for young people, as they need to understand that age does not matter at all."

"I personally never think of retiring. I see myself on the pitch for a long time. Whilst my body responds well, I will continue to do what I love the most."
