Ronaldo tells Juventus: ‘Didn’t achieve all we wanted’

Cristiano Ronaldo has said goodbye to Juventus fans after his Manchester United transfer in a message filled with errors. ‘In the end, we can all look back and realize that we achieved great things, not all that we wanted, but still, we wrote a pretty beautiful story together.’

The Portugal international was in Turin for three seasons, scoring 101 goals in 134 competitive matches for the club.

He won two Serie A titles, one Coppa Italia, two Italian Supercups and was crowned Capocannoniere of Serie A last season, but European glory evaded him in the Bianconeri jersey.

“Today I depart from an amazing club, the biggest in Italy and surely one of the biggest in all of Europe,” wrote Ronaldo on Instagram.

“I gave my heart and soul for Juventus and I’ll always love the city of Turin until my final days. The “tiffosi bianconeri” always respected me and I tried to thank that respect by fighting for them in every game, every season, every competition.

“In the end, we can all look back and realize that we achieved great things, not all that we wanted, but still, we wrote a pretty beautiful story together.”

He then quoted the lyrics of the official club anthem, which was also played in an attached video.
“I will always be one of you. You are now part of my history, as I feel that I’m part of yours. Italy, Juve, Turin, tiffosi bianconeri, you’ll always be in my heart.”

The fact he was there for three years and still could not spell ‘tifosi’ correctly was noted in the comments.

In his Instagram Stories, he also wrote ‘Grazzie a tutti, Grazzie Juventus’ with another spelling error, as it should be Grazie.

Ronaldo never did learn Italian over the three years, despite the similarity with Portuguese and Spanish.
