Cristiano Ronaldo has said goodbye to Juventus fans after his Manchester United transfer in a message filled with errors. ‘In the end, we can all look back and realize that we achieved great things, not all that we wanted, but still, we wrote a pretty beautiful story together.’

The Portugal international was in Turin for three seasons, scoring 101 goals in 134 competitive matches for the club.

He won two Serie A titles, one Coppa Italia, two Italian Supercups and was crowned Capocannoniere of Serie A last season, but European glory evaded him in the Bianconeri jersey.

“Today I depart from an amazing club, the biggest in Italy and surely one of the biggest in all of Europe,” wrote Ronaldo on Instagram.

“I gave my heart and soul for Juventus and I’ll always love the city of Turin until my final days. The “tiffosi bianconeri” always respected me and I tried to thank that respect by fighting for them in every game, every season, every competition.

“In the end, we can all look back and realize that we achieved great things, not all that we wanted, but still, we wrote a pretty beautiful story together.”

He then quoted the lyrics of the official club anthem, which was also played in an attached video.
“I will always be one of you. You are now part of my history, as I feel that I’m part of yours. Italy, Juve, Turin, tiffosi bianconeri, you’ll always be in my heart.”

The fact he was there for three years and still could not spell ‘tifosi’ correctly was noted in the comments.

In his Instagram Stories, he also wrote ‘Grazzie a tutti, Grazzie Juventus’ with another spelling error, as it should be Grazie.

Ronaldo never did learn Italian over the three years, despite the similarity with Portuguese and Spanish.

  1. Goodbye Ron. Surely you wont be missed. Don’t forget to bring all the plastic fans with you. GraZZie! Lol

  2. Ronaldo had to go but why was it left so late.? Juve have no chance of winning the league with this squad,Just about made it into CL with this team so it looks like another tough time for fans.

  3. I am honestly so happy with this right now. I never wanted him at Juve to begin with. He was never one of us, he was never interested in being a Juventino, he just wanted to be our idol. He and that circus of fans that follow him around will not be missed at ALL. Now we can focus on moving forward and rebuilding. FORZA JUVE!

  4. if he`d come two seasons earlier it would have been different, both of us in a better place. it is what it is. at least he didn`t just sit and take the final season`s money, though the exit could have been smoother from the outside. now we can breathe and grow as a young team, when we get cuadrado, chie , sandro danilo and bonucci replaced eventually we will be sorted. that wil take a while but the youngsters can learn while they grow. ronno didn` fit into what we needed, he was a luxury we shouldn`t and couldn`t afford and now the ten in a row is gone, as is donnarumma. Well, lets go forward! #FinoAllaFine

  5. Funny that this article is picking apart my spelling when the author doesn’t know how to make the word “Juventus” possessive correctly.

  6. They don’t call him to dumb for no reason.

He thought he’d come to Italy and have it all his own way. Ended up unable to even say ggiuvve’ properly.

  7. only thing i am upset about is that he waited so late to make his intentions known. juve now has to wait to the last minute to find replacements. juve got 30mil for an expiring contract. and got his 31mil salary off the books for a football great that is on his last legs. thats good news

  8. Wait and see how this team will thrive without CR7!
Surely one less headache for Allegri. Still he remains a footballing great, atleast am glad he’s now part of Juve’s story and history. We move!

  9. Ronaldo had problems with Allegri’s style and was unhappy with the squad at Juve .. looking forward to his great time with Ole, Fred, Maguire …..

  10. Amazing news that Ronaldo left. Before he joined juve we won scudetto each season and played 2 UCL finals in 3 seasons. . I was saying all along juve made wrong choice by signing him. His selfishness destroyed unity of juve team and performances of the team declined… good that juve got rid of him, we will win a lot of tournaments this season now that ronaldo is out.. Grazie ronaldo for leaving

  11. Of course R7 brings so much, 9n a sporting + even just on a purely marketing level. But I was disappointed when they sold Kean at the time, as he was fitting in well at Juve + as a neutral who like’s Italian football I hope now that there’s more space for Dybala to show his extraordinary potential once again + for some of the fantastic youngsters like Chiesa, Kulusevski + whoever they bring in to shine more. People seem to be bemoaning the fact that they missed out on Donnarumma but Locatelli is a great buy. Instead of trying to be a Real, PSG, Citoily or Chelski, let Juve go back to living up to their Youth name. Allegri doesn’t seem upset at all that R7 has left + I genuinely believe that some of the other players like A.Sandro, De Ligt, Berna + Morata wlll perform better this season under him? It’s certainly not all doom + gloom for Juve like some seem to think anyway.

  12. “I gave my heart and soul for Juventus“… what drivel! He came with aspirations of glory, but when he couldn’t deliver (not for lack of effort, but lack of truly engaging with the team), he ran off like a coward. How this showoff man-child can say he loved Torino only to screw them by demanding to leave towards the close of the transfer market, even manure comes off as smelling better. I’d rather Juventus struggle to success without him than win with him.

  13. @basta poco what are you talking about? “he couldn’t deliver” he scored 110 goals in 3 seasons, what striker did that till ronaldo at juve? you are just a hater! He didnt ran off, he didnt want to be on the bench for allegri’s stupid tactics.

  14. I would hope that Juve could keep Ronaldo for at least this season. If the plan was to let him go, it should have been done earlier in the transfer window. So now what? Lead the line with Morata who was a last minute loan deal last season or make another last minute deal this season to replace Ronaldo?
