Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta calls the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo “a team game”.

The Bianconeri this week completed a sensational €100m transfer for the Portuguese superstar, who has joined from Real Madrid on a four year contract.

“It all started when we were negotiating with Joao Cancelo, who has the same agent as Ronaldo [Jorge Mendes],” Marotta told Corriere della Sera.

“It all started when we were negotiating with Joao Cancelo, who has the same agent as Ronaldo [Jorge Mendes],” Marotta told Corriere della Sera.

“Cristiano Ronaldo was the first one to believe in this, he chose Juventus and when we realised we could seize this opportunity the club’s shareholders agreed and supported the transfer.

“It was a team game.”
