The Ballon d’Or winner is not part of the squad for this Nations League match and has been out of training for a few days.
It’s reported the infection in his right foot, which he is treating with medication, was caused by bee sting.
“I am very doubtful that he will be 100 per cent OK,” said Portugal coach Fernando Santos in his press conference.

“He had been training well, then suddenly on Wednesday one of his toes was red, as if he’d been stung by a bee. Now we have to wait. With an infection, you don’t know how long the recovery is going to take.”
