“I’m so proud to reach 1000 official games in my career with a very important victory that put us on the top of the table,” Ronaldo wrote on Instagram. “Thank you to all my teammates, coaches, my family and friends, and to my fans that helped me reach this great achievement.”
Ronaldo has scored 725 goals for the four different clubs and has participated in 18 seasons as a professional football player.
CR7 made his name at Manchester United and played 292 games, scoring 118 goals for the Red Devils, who bought the superstar from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2003. He had already played 30 times for the Portuguese side and scored five times.
Ronaldo has also earned 164 caps for Portugal, scoring 99 times for his nation, helping them to win the European Championship and the inaugural UEFA Nations League.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner har also been voted best player of the year by FIFA five times and three times UEFA Best Player in Europe.
Ronaldo and Juventus are currently preparing to host Olympique Lyonnais in the return leg of their round of 16 in the Champions League, a tournament the talisman has won five times.
He has picked up three Premier League crowns, and two La Liga titles and the Scudetto with the Old Lady last year.
