A final ruling will soon arrive in Cristiano Ronaldo’s legal battle with Juventus over unpaid wages following a hearing at the FIGC Arbitration Board.

Page 22 of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport highlights how the 38-year-old Portuguese star has decided to take legal action against the Bianconeri, who have allegedly failed to pay him over €19m of deferred wages.

Ronaldo is one of the players understood to be involved in Juventus’ now infamous ‘salary manoeuvres’ in the early stages of the COVID pandemic.

A hearing was held at the FIGC Arbitration Board on Wednesday, where no agreement was reached between Ronaldo and Juventus.

As such, a final ruling is expected in the case within the next 30 days. The Old Lady are confident of their position, believing that the Portuguese star has no right to demand the payment because no contracts were signed.

Other players who did sign contracts relating to the salary manoeuvres received their payments as expected.

Furthermore, when Ronaldo left Juventus for Manchester United in the summer of 2021, he allegedly signed an agreement with the club waiving any outstanding debts.
