After Juventus beat Inter 2-0 on March 8, the Portuguese striker travelled to Madeira to learn that Serie A had been suspended and teammate Daniele Rugani had tested positive for coronavirus.

Ronaldo remained in Portugal for two months in the company of his family and has been isolated for the past two weeks, since his return to Turin.
