Ronaldo Nazário gave his thoughts about Inter’s current form following their Champions League matches against Barcelona.

The Nerazzurri needed strong results against the Blaugrana in the fight for the second Round of 16 spot in Group C and they managed to pull off a win at home and a draw away, giving Simone Inzaghi and his players confidence after a difficult start to the season. Inter had lost four of their opening eight league games before facing Barcelona but since have started to right the ship.

Speaking to Sportmediaset at the Ballon d’Or ceremony, Ronaldo spoke about Inter’s upswing in form and a possible Scudetto bid.

“I follow Italian football, I see a lot of football, being the owner of two teams. I am sick of football!

“I saw both Inter matches against Barcelona, they did very well, two giant games against a great team. Scudetto? It’s a long way off.”

Inter currently sit 7th in the Serie A table, eight points behind league leaders Napoli and four points behind 4th place Roma. Inzaghi will be hoping to pick up as many points as possible in the run-up to the World Cup break next month.
