Cristiano Ronaldo is not training with Manchester United amid rumours that he wants to leave the club with Napoli and Roma interested.

The Portuguese striker reportedly wants to leave Old Trafford just one year after returning to the club from Juventus. According to ESPN, he has been given permission not to train with his teammates today due to family reasons.

Napoli and Roma have been linked with a move for the Portuguese star. La Gazzetta reported last week that Jorge Mendes had offered his star client to the Giallorossi, but sources close to the club have denied that CR7 will move to the Stadio Olimpico.

The Athletic reported last weekend that Napoli are also in the race to sign the former Juventus star who presumably wants to continue playing in the Champions League in 2022-23.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored 101 goals in 134 appearances with Juventus and if he returns to Italy in the summer, Serie A clubs won’t be allowed to use the growth decree as he left the country only a year ago.

  1. If he’s gonna sign for a mediocre team like Roma he might as well sign with Sporting and finish where he started. Both teams are on the same level.
