Ronaldinho's future is once again the subject of great speculation ahead of this weekend's Derby della Madonnina against Inter.

The 30-year-old Brazil international is no longer untouchable at Milan and didn't even make it off the bench against Bari on Sunday.

La Gazzetta dello Sport understands Massimiliano Allegri will field Ronaldinho against Palermo this evening in the hope that he shows some dedication before the derby.

If he doesn't give a good performance, it's likely he will be on the bench again on Sunday.

Meanwhile, talks to renew Ronaldinho's contract appear no closer to a conclusion.

The player's agent Roberto de Assis has been in Milan this week, but Adriano Galliani is in no mood to discuss contract extensions.

Galliani is taking a calculated risk, deciding to wait and see what interest emerges in the Milan players who are out of contract in June, possibly with the idea of cashing in on some of them at the last possible opportunity in January.

La Gazzetta believes this has alerted the LA Galaxy who have been in touch with Ronaldinho again, putting an offer on the table.

The MLS outfit are apparently prepared to give him a four-year deal worth €7m a season.
