According to sources in Italy, club Vice-President Adriano Galliani held talks with the player's agent brother yesterday.

During those negotiations, it was apparently agreed that the South American would leave the Rossoneri during the winter transfer window.

Ronaldinho will remain with the squad in Dubai until their Italian return on January 3, but by January 7 he will allegedly be back in Brazilian football.

Gremio are leading contenders for his signature, but Flamengo and Palmeiras are also keen on the star.

Milan are said to be looking for a figure of around €8m for the Selecao international, a considerable amount for a player coming towards the end of his contract.

None of the interested parties are likely to offer such an amount, so it is expected that Dinho will be sold for a lot less – perhaps even as little as €4m.

If Ronaldinho does move in January, Milan have already signed a replacement in the form of Antonio Cassano from Sampdoria.

However, the club could make another move after links emerged with Luca Toni of Genoa and Brescia's Andrea Caracciolo.
