Sampdoria’s lawyer Antonio Romei says Andrea Ranocchia wants to come, but Inter must find a replacement first.

The centre-back is out of favour with the Nerazzurri this season, and has been linked with a January transfer.

Blucherchiati President Massimo Ferrero has hinted that a deal could happen, but his right-hand man is less confident.

“The player also expressed his willingness to come here to Genoa, but Inter have informed us that if they can’t find a replacement in defence then they can’t let him go.

“Could talks be revived? Let’s see, at the moment I don’t know.”

Eder and Soriano have been linked with a move in the other direction, but Romei believes they’ll stay.

“We have the sea in Genoa, in Milan they have smog. All joking aside, they’re fine here with us.”
