Roma goalkeeper Rui Patricio has reportedly won a court case against his neighbour for illegally building a swimming pool.

Corriere dello Sport details how a doctor who lived next to a block of flats owned by the Roma shot stopper allegedly illegally built a swimming pool without planning permission. After failing to resolve the situation personally, Patricio decided to take legal action.

Patricio sued the doctor for damages as tenants were forced to abandon two rented flats as there was a risk of collapse, something proved by his law firm. The court sided with the Roma goalkeeper and the municipality of Leiria issued a ruling ordering the pool to be demolished.

The 35-year-old Portuguese shot stopper, whose contract expires with the Giallorossi at the end of this season, has continued to be a regular starter under Jose Mourinho despite a drop in performance in recent months.
