Osvaldo was dismissed during the Giallorossi’s 4-1 defeat away to Atalanta” data-scaytid=”4″>Atalanta in Week 25 for kicking out at Luca Cigarini and was originally handed a two-game ban as punishment.
Having been without the striker for the Rome derby last weekend, the club, however, were optimistic that an appeal to wipe off the second match would be successful.
However, that has not proven so, as a brief statement from the Federal Court of Justice confirmed on Thursday afternoon. As a result, Osvaldo is unavailable to Luis Enrique for the team’s trip south to Palermo.
