Alessio Romagnoli has described Milan as ‘the best club in the world’ after completing a move from Roma.

The defender has joined the Rossoneri in a €25m deal, and spoke to journalists at Linate airport earlier today.

“This is the most successful and best club in the world,” Romagnoli told the assembled media.

“Now I have to think about myself and doing well on the pitch. I’ll try to give my all, everyone at Milan is quality. I have to be calm and try to do my best.”

Diavolo Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic was a major factor in the move, pushing the club to sign the player he worked with at Sampdoria.

“The Coach told me if there was a chance he’d take me with him. I spoke with my agent and [Roma sporting director Walter] Sabatini and we managed to get the deal done.”
