Alessio Romagnoli assures Milan will ‘keep believing’ as long as it’s mathematically possible for them to reach the next Champions League stage.

The Rossoneri picked up their first point in four games today, fighting back from an early Luis Diaz strike to draw 1-1 at San Siro with a Chancel Mbemba own goal.

Champions League | Milan 1-1 Porto: A point is not enough

“It was not a good first half and I think everyone saw that, but we were more like ourselves after the restart,” Romagnoli told Milan TV.

“It’s disappointing, because we gave it our best shot. We created lots of chances in the second half and know the Champions League is difficult, but our performances in general across the four games were worth more than one point.

“We will keep believing as long as it’s possible to qualify. It all depends on us, even though we also need other results to go our way too.

“We wanted to make the fans happy this evening, they were fantastic, so we hope to give them that joy in the derby on Sunday instead.”

  1. Keep believing while teams like Juve and atalanta score actual points in europe and save italy’s face. ForzaJuve

  2. It is their first time back in what 6 years. They will learn as the team is young and if they win the league they will have a bit more money to invest. The reality is Liverpool are on another level and Atletico are seasoned campaigners. The Porto ties were not acceptable as the home game should have been in the bag at the very minimum.

  3. Gigi looks smart to jump ship now.

tho its nostalgic ACM is back in CL, they are too outclassed in their group, it getting embarrassing.

Atalanta on other hand is respectingly rocking the last 3 years running.

  4. For the record…

I support ALL Seria A based teams competing in ALL European and international competitions.

Whomever plagiarized the use of MY actual screen name for the purpose of attributing renarks that I, myself, gave not written is simply shameful.

  5. For the record…

    1. I hope Milan does, in fact, qualify into the Round of 16.

    2. Atalanta hot screwed by the Ronaldo handball. Plus, Atalanta should have made the game 3-1. Hopefully, Atalanta will receive a just and good draw for the Round of 16.

    3. Congats to Juve and Inter this week.

  6. Facts are we are in THE toughest group this season, our team is one of the youngest in the competition with the least experience, these players are getting the best lessons they could ever get by playing in this group against these players, no team in Italy would do much better in this group and that’s just facts. I’m proud of each and every one of Milan players for the effort that have shown and things are only getting better for this team. Haters can hate all they want it only comes back on them, FORZA MILAN
