Lazio medicals are booked for Alessio Romagnoli, Luis Maximiano and Mario Gila, while Milan wave goodbye to Samu Castillejo and Mattia Caldara. Here are today’s expected transfers in Serie A.

It is going to be a busy day in Rome for the Biancocelesti doctors, as they’ll have a parade of players coming through for medicals ahead of completing their transfers.

Romagnoli is a free agent after leaving Milan, while goalkeeper Maximiano is expected to make the move from Getafe at a cost of €10m and Gila arrives on loan from Real Madrid.

The Rossoneri are whittling down their squad, with Castillejo set for his medical with Gennaro Gattuso’s Valencia, while Caldara joins Spezia on loan with an option to buy for €3m.

There are mixed reports over the precise situation with Castillejo, as it could be a contract termination, but is more likely a move for free other than performance-related bonuses.

Spezia are also due to sign Albin Ekdal as a free agent from Sampdoria.

Sassuolo will announce €10m signing Kristian Thorstvedt, who already had his medical yesterday after the release clause from KRC Genk was activated.
