Alessio Romagnoli encouraged his Milan teammates to “take one game at a time” after an “important” win against Torino on Monday night.

Milan are now tied with sixth-placed Hellas Verona in Serie A, but are currently behind them and Parma on goal difference.

The captain only wants to look ahead after the 1-0 win against the Granata at San Siro and revealed he felt the Rossoneri “dropped a bit” after the break.

“It’s a precious and very important win for us,” Romagnoli told Sky Sport Italia. “It’s a long season and there are many points to play for.

“We dropped a bit in the second half, but the important thing was to win.”

In the second half, he played alongside debutant Matteo Gabbia and congratulated his teammate with the achievement but added that he felt he could have played better himself.

“I have played better games than this,” Romagnoli added. “Even if it’s always bad when you lose.

“We must take one game at a time. We will give our all. I congratulate Gabbia, who is a very young lad.”
