Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli has been banned for only one game, despite his straight red card at Torino.

Romagnoli was dismissed for sarcastically applauding Marco Guida towards the end of Milan’s 2-0 defeat on Sunday.

There had been talk of at least a two-match ban for the captain, but the FIGC ruled on Tuesday that he would only miss the Rossoneri’s next game against Bologna.

He joins Sampdoria trio Gaston Ramirez, Lorenzo Tonelli and Jacopo Sala, Verona pair Federico Barba and Mehdi Leris, Udinese’s Samir, Lazio’s Senad Lulic, Bologna duo Ibrahima Mbaye and Roberto Soriano, Toro’s Emiliano Moretti, Sassuolo’s Federico Peluso and SPAL’s Francesco Vicari in sitting out the next round of fixtures.

Granata boss Walter Mazzarri, meanwhile, has avoided a suspension for being sent away from his dugout on Sunday and is instead fined €20,000.
