Nicolò Zaniolo could be ruled out of Roma’s away clash against Sampdoria on Sunday due to a slight muscle injury.
Multiple reports in Italy claim the 22-year-old is unlikely to travel to the Stadio Ferraris this weekend due to a minor thing injury. Calciomercato.com reports that the Italy international sustained the injury during today’s training session at Trigoria.
The Giallorossi starlet played Italy’s friendly match against Turkey on Tuesday night after being excluded for technical reasons from the previous game against North Macedonia and Roma’s derby against Lazio before the international break.
Zaniolo has had highs and lows at the Stadio Olimpico this term, scoring four goals in 33 appearances across all competitions.
I am afraid Zaniolo needs to understand that he has lots to learn. He should try to become a team player instead of trying to do everything himself. He does this and he will return to be a very good player. Until then, I am afraid he will be often on the bench. Roma plays better without him at the moment. Shame as he could have done really well this year for club and country. He is young so he can improve very quickly indeed but he needs to understand this otherwise he will become a has been.
