It remains to be seen if this is a loan with option to buy, or even an obligation to make the move permanent.

The news is that there are reports Juve requested two Roma youth team players as part of the deal.

The most likely option is 18-year-old midfielder Alessio Riccardi, who last season scored nine goals with nine assists in 35 competitive games for the Primavera side.

That includes five goals in seven UEFA Youth League matches.

Riccardi seemed to acknowledge the rumours with a post on social media this evening, showing him waving to the crowd in a Roma jersey.

“Now more than ever… Infinite love” he wrote, with yellow and red emojis.

Another candidate is 20-year-old Slovenian striker Celar, but he has just joined Cittadella on loan, so it might just be an option for him in future.

Celar has a lot of positive buzz around him and made an immediate impact for Cittadella, scoring two goals in as many Coppa Italia games this season, despite only playing 90 minutes.
