Roma continue negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain to work out the final details for Georginio Wijnaldum, on loan with option to buy that could become an obligation.

According to Sportitalia and Sky Sport Italia, the only remaining issue to be resolved is how to split the salary of €7m per season.

The other basic terms have been agreed, it will be a loan with option to buy for €10m, which can become an obligation under certain circumstances.

Roma do not want to pay the full €7m salary for the season of his loan, instead hoping that PSG will cover up to 50 per cent of the wages.

Meanwhile, Wijnaldum is not included in the PSG squad travelling for their next pre-season test in Israel, a sign of how close he is to joining Jose Mourinho’s club.

The 31-year-old Netherlands international was picked up as a free agent last year after leaving Liverpool and is under contract until June 2024.
