Saturday’s match against Bologna is the first of four in 10 days for Roma, who are out to strengthen their grip on third place and stun Barcelona for a spot in the Champions League semi-finals.

“Our heads must only be geared for Bologna, I have little interest in the rest,” the Coach said at a Press conference.

“It’s crucial that we maintain our position in the table. Dzeko or Schick? I have to make some assessments because we have four very important games in 10 days, but we’ll make the right changes tomorrow.

“I have to make physical and mental assessments, also taking into account their international commitments.

“Dzeko or Schick will play as the [lone] striker. As for who plays out wide, it’ll be two out of El Shaarawy, Gerson and Perotti, with the first being the favourite.

“I’d rather have kept Schick here, but sometimes the mental aspect can make the difference. We’ll see if that’s the case tomorrow.

“Facing my son? Federico has grown a lot, but he must find himself again and improve if he’s not doing very well because he has the quality to succeed and do better than me.

“I wish Di Francesco good luck, but maybe as of next week!”
