La Gazzetta dello Sport confirms the meeting between the two parties will be held over the next few weeks with Roma who have already prepared their contract extension offer.

The Giallorossi will reportedly put a new five-year, €3.5m-a-year deal on the table.

Pellegrini is currently on a €2.7m-a-year contract until June 2022.

The club also want to remove a €30m release clause included in their current agreement with the 24-year-old who is expected to become Roma's new captain.

Pellegrini is a product of the Giallorossi academy. He played for two seasons at Sassuolo before making his return to the Stadio Olimpico in a €10m move in the summer of 2017.
