Reports say Roma have asked Watford for a Juan Iturbe-Victor Ibarbo swap, while Serie A clubs join the chase for the Argentine.
It was reported yesterday that the Premier League club were in ‘advanced negotiations’ to bring in Iturbe in January.
However, Gazzetta dello Sport writes today that the winger was offered to the Hornets with the request of an exchange for Ibarbo, who is currently on loan from the Giallorossi.

Colombia international Ibarbo hasn’t found space at Watford since joining on loan in the summer, making only three substitute appearances all season.
The newspaper also believes that it isn’t only the English outfit chasing Iturbe, as Bologna, Sassuolo, Verona and Sampdoria will also try to open talks with the Lupi for a temporary deal.
The winger joined from Hellas in July 2014 for €22.5m, but hasn’t lived up to expectations and came very close to a Genoa switch in the summer before Roma pulled out at the last minute.
