Roma want a response from Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham today, otherwise they’ll turn to alternatives, including Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho.

Director of sport Tiago Pinto has been in London since yesterday for meetings with Abraham and his entourage, putting forward the benefits of coming to the Stadio Olimpico.

Chelsea have already agreed the terms of the transfer at €40m, to be paid in five instalments, but the forward remains tempted by Arsenal.

Italian reports suggest if Abraham doesn’t give the all-clear today, then Roma will give up on him and look at other alternatives.

There are several up for grabs, including Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette, but a new name mentioned by Sky Sports UK is Iheanacho of Leicester City.

The Nigeria international turns 25 in October and only recently signed a contract extension to June 2024.

He was signed from Manchester City in 2017 for €27.7m and found the net 19 times with seven assists in 39 competitive appearances last season.
