Jose Mourinho will hope that his team can stay injury-free for one more game as these Roma vs. Torino predictions run the rule over both teams ahead of Sunday’s clash.

Roma vs. Torino odds

1 – Roma to win – 4/5

2 – Under 2.5 goals scored – 8/11

3 – Both teams not to score – 4/5

4 – Roma to score under 1.5 goals  – 8/11

5 – Nicolò Zaniolo to score at any time – 11/4

Mourinho teams usually get a reputation for low-scoring games and that is certainly the case for Roma this season. The Giallorossi have scored the fewest goals in the top half of the table – aside from Torino – so this could be a cagey affair.

Tammy Abraham has been nowhere near the threat he was last season for Roma – and even Mourinho seems to have begun to get annoyed by the English striker’s return now. That could spell trouble for Abraham after the World Cup break.

Nicolò Zaniolo has put some criticism behind him though and has contributed to Roma’s success this season. The Italy international could well find the net on Sunday to score a crucial winner.

Torino will be looking forward to playing against former talisman Andrea Belotti if he gets the opportunity this weekend. But the Granata have found it difficult to replace him up front this season.

There had been a steadying of the ship recently though, after a five-game winless streak plummeted the club down the table. Victories over Udinese and Milan had suggested that Torino might be able to challenge for a European spot. But the defeat to Bologna was a major blow.

Now Ivan Jurić must raise his players for one more fixture before the New Year and keep this club in a good place going into the second half of the season. Getting anything at the Stadio Olimpico will be a tough task though.

Roma team news

Even though Mourinho has finally publically criticised Abraham’s performances, it is unlikely that he will drop the striker for the final game of the year. Belotti will be waiting for the chance to face his old club though. Captain Lorenzo Pellegrini will miss out, however, with youngster Cristian Volpato looking like the replacement.

Torino team news

Ivan Jurić shouldn’t have any new injury worries for this trip to the capital city, although he may still go with Karamoh up front if Pellegri is kept out. But he will more than likely be relying on his defensive players at the Stadio Olimpico anyway.
