As West Ham United are refusing to let Gianluca Scamacca leave on loan, Roma have reportedly turned towards Leicester City striker Patson Daka.

The Giallorossi need a centre-forward after Tammy Abraham was ruled out for six months with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Director of sport Tiago Pinto and new CEO Lina Soulouko were in London today and Calciomercato.com believe it was to discuss two different deals.

The first was well-known, securing Leeds United midfielder Rasmus Kristensen on loan with an option to buy for circa €9m.

The other was to approach Leicester City for striker Daka, the 24-year-old Zambia international who had already been linked with Roma back in 2021.

Leicester were relegated from the Premier League, just like Leeds, and therefore have to sell their star names, so a loan with option to buy would be available for circa €4.3m.

The former RB Salzburg talent was only signed in 2021 for €30m, but struggled this season with four goals and four assists in 30 Premier League games.
