Sky Sport Italia claims Roma are in talks with Atalanta for Duvan Zapata, but Braga and Spain’s forward Abel Ruiz, has also emerged as a potential target for the Giallorossi.

Tiago Pinto continues his search for a new centre forward for 2023-24 given that Tammy Abraham will remain out of action with a knee injury until January.

Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata is one of Roma’s primary targets, but according to Sky Sport Italia, La Dea have set their asking price at €5m plus €5m add-ons.

The Giallorossi are also in talks with Santos for 20-year-old Brazilian forward Marcos Leonardo. His price tag is said to be in the region of €20m which will decrease if Roma get the player in January, something Pinto is not interested in.

Sky Sport and Il Corriere dello Sport add Spain’s Abel Ruiz to Roma’s shopping list saying that preliminary contacts between the Giallorossi and the striker’s club Braga have already begun.

The 23-year-old played in Valencia and Barcelona‘s academies and has two appearances to his name with La Roja.
