Roma are set to increase their offer for Matias Soulé to €28m, which is still below both Leicester City’s proposal and the Juventus asking price, but the player wants them.

According to multiple sources this evening, including Sportitalia and Sky Sport Italia, the offer of €26m was turned down by the Bianconeri.

They are prepared to raise the bid to €28m including various add-ons, but this is not going to be enough either.

Soulé has heart set on Roma

Juventus want €35m to sell the Argentine wide forward, while Leicester City have already made a proposal worth €29m.

Sky Sport Italia are confident that the deal could eventually be done for €30m, as Soulé has made it perfectly clear he does not want to go to England for Leicester City or West Ham United.

He spoke directly to Roma coach Daniele De Rossi and believes this is the next step in his career following a loan spell in Serie A with Frosinone.

  1. Italy is a second home for Argentinians, especially ones with Italian ancestry, so it makes sense to want to live in a place that’s not dull and dreary.
