The 27-year-old was not injured, but this is the second time he has been involved in a traffic collision in the early hours of the morning.

As a result, Sky reports, the club and Coach Eusebio Di Francesco have opted not to call him up to face Benevento this weekend.

The policy is consistent with the attitude taken to Radja Nainggolan, who was left out after posting video of himself drinking, smoking and swearing on Instagram.

Bruno Peres is also likely to be fined for his indiscretion.
