Douglas Maicon is heading towards an early contract termination with Roma due to knee problems, it’s claimed.
The right-back has struggled with the recurring issue regarding the cartilage in his right knee for some time.
“The problem is that he takes one step forward and two steps back,” explained Coach Rudi Garcia in a Press conference yesterday.
“He has a delicate problem with his knee and I expected him to be back in shape earlier. Now one day he’s fine, another less so.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma have run out of patience and are prepared to terminate Maicon’s contract early by mutual consent.
This would allow him to start a new phase of his career in America’s MLS.
