Roma to build Metro station

Roma have agreed to build a new Metro station for their stadium in a deal with the Mayor of Rome.

Club President James Pallotta and Mayor Ignazio Marino met today in New York and agreed there will be a new Metro station built near the stadium and other investments worth €50m in the surrounding area.

Club President James Pallotta and Mayor Ignazio Marino met today in New York and agreed there will be a new Metro station built near the stadium and other investments worth €50m in the surrounding area.

The extra funds will be provided by Pallotta and his associates rather than the city.

“Romans should be proud of their administration,” said Pallotta. “It will be an entertainment zone for millions of people.”

Mayor of Rome Marino also told news agency ANSA “we are satisfied and got all we asked for.”
