Roma are in close contact with Celta Vigo as they look to compete with Wolves for Jorgen Strand Larsen and have also set their sights on Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson.
The Giallorossi’s new project is starting to take shape under coach Daniele De Rossi, who recently penned a three-year contract with the club. He is now hard at work planning out the club’s summer transfer window alongside sporting director Florent Ghisolfi.
Roma have already sold Andrea Belotti to Como for around €4.5m and are looking to ship Houssem Aouar to the Middle East for a fee of around €8-10m. Also on the chopping block are Rick Karsdorp, Chris Smalling, Zeki Celik, Edoardo Bove and Nicola Zalewski.
Roma move forward in transfer market
Corriere dello Sport details how Roma are in constant contact with Celta Vigo as they look to find common ground for Larsen, who has also attracted attention from Wolves. The Italian side don’t want to spend more than €20m and are hoping some add-ons could help reach a deal.
In the meantime, the Giallorossi are also keeping a close eye on Gudmundsson’s situation at Genoa as they wait for the right opportunity to striker for the Icelandic forward. For now, no move can be made until they ship out some dead weight in the squad.
