Roma are trying to whittle down their squad, as Schalke 04 make an initial offer for Amadou Diawara, while Bryan Reynolds joins KVC Westerlo.

The Giallorossi have officially sent United States international Reynolds to Belgian club KVC Westerlo on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

The full-back had already spent the last six months on loan in Belgium with KV Kortrijk.

Roma had signed Reynolds from FC Dallas for €6.75m after an initial loan spell in 2021.

Meanwhile, it is reported that Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04 have made an opening €15m proposal for midfielder Diawara.

The Guinea international turns 25 next month and made only eight competitive appearances this season, as he is not part of coach Jose Mourinho’s plans.

Roma purchased Diawara from Napoli in the summer of 2019 for €21m and his contract runs to June 2024.

He has been in Italy since 2015 for San Marino, Bologna, Napoli and then Roma, during which he earned 26 senior caps for Guinea.

  1. 15 mill for this guy? What is Roma waiting for, sell him. Another 15 for Veretout and 10 for Kluivert and that’s 40 million . Throw in Kumbulla and get Koulibaly from Napoli. Three in the back with Ibanez,Koulibaly & Mancini looks good with Smalling as cover.
