Roma are ready to swoop for Salomon Rondon, as the striker has only one year left on his West Bromwich Albion contract after a one-season Newcastle United loan.

According to reports in Calciomercato.com, the Giallorossi have set their sights on the centre-forward, who turns 30 in September.

He has been on the West Brom books since 2015, but spent this season on loan at Newcastle United.

Rondon impressed with 11 goals in 32 Premier League games and should be available for a small fee, considering his contract is due to expire in June 2020.
