Roma’s financial statement for the first half of this season revealed that they’ve suffered losses of €113.7m.

During the first six months of the 2021-22 season, the Giallorossi suffered losses amounting to €113.7m, a significant increased compared to the loss of €74.8m suffered in the first half of the 2020-21 season.

The Friedkin family have invested €7.5m into Roma in February, bringing their total investments into the club to €542.3m, a large amount in less than two years of ownership. They acquisition of Jose Mourinho last summer and the signing of Tammy Abraham were signs of their ambitions and intent with the club, but things have not fully paid off yet this season.

The Giallorossi have already extended Mancini’s contract until 2026, but this has not been announced yet as they are currently working on negotiating a further one-year extension, which would see his salary rise to over €3m.

Roma currently sit 8th in the Serie A table after 26 games, six points behind 4th place Juventus and two points behind 6th place Lazio.
