Roma have reportedly submitted their first official offer to Stade Rennais for right back Lorenz Assignon.

The Giallorossi have been active in the summer transfer market as they gear up for Daniele De Rossi’s first full season in charge, keen to rejuvenate the squad after resolving their financial concerns.

Roma have brought in a number of key reinforcements so far this summer, signing striker Artem Dovbyk, winger Matias Soule, midfielder Enzo Le Fee, left back Samuel Dahl and goalkeeper Mathew Ryan. They’ve also been linked with a move for Juventus’ Federico Chiesa.

Roma offer for Assignon

Gianluca Di Marzio details how Roma have contacted Stade Rennais to submit their first official offer for Assignon, proposing a loan deal with a buy option attached. The French club made it clear that they’d prefer a definitive transfer.

Talks between the two clubs will continue to try and quickly find common ground, with the Giallorossi keen to continue bolstering De Rossi’s squad.
